Chapman’s songs and sound paint big sky backdrops on which she casts the shadows of various folk in tender moments of melancholy and hopefulness.~Milesofmusic.com

Beautiful Song (Review of song off Still Life)

Beautiful, poised and subtle, Tattoo Cowboy has all the hallmarks of a classic song created and delivered by an artist who is totally at home with her music. Highly recommended! ~Gordon Bell, Founder of Ripping Tracks

A silky smooth, sweet voice, lovely harmonies, and and easy-to-love melody, in this country/folk song. The music is slow, steady, and top-shelf all the way. Just another sparkling gemstone in the musical world. ~BeSonic.com

“You put me on a cliff on a foggy morning over the pacific, contemplating lost love. thank you.”~BlackRaven–fan

“I received Amee Chapman’s 3 song demo from her upcoming “Still Life” album, and the Californian seems to be on to something good. The tracks are all acoustic ballads containing raw, emotional guitar, and bittersweet lyrics”~Benjamin Daniels Writer for Indie-Music.com

“music for the masses!”

Amee Chapman,
Live & Otherwise :
Amee Chapman hits the bottle three times on her five-song, rock demo. Whiskey is a metaphor for those occasions when love leaves her dumbstruck. On the heartbreakingly poignant “Leavin’ Me Today” she needs whiskey to curb the chill of a lover’s sudden departure. On “Wishing Well” she takes a drink to quell the anticipation of a pending rendezvous. The reckless spirit of Jack Kerouac haunts “Down on South Lamar” as Chapman finds herself trading shots with a “band of orphaned hearts” in the Texas night, content, even as
“California is closing in.” Chapman’s songs are superb; fearless, yet sentimental. Her band stands their ground, maintaining Live & Otherwise as a bold rock record. Chapman comes off like Lucinda Williams fronting Pearl Jam.

“You have a wonderful voice and it carries the track. So many musical genres have been defined in popular music that it’s very difficult to come up with something totally new, so I grade on a quality of individuality and here you’ve done a nice job. And it doesn’t hurt that your voice is so easy to listen to.” ~Makeastar.com industry review of “Leavin’ Me Today”

“Gaining an honest buzz in SF is Amee Chapman, a singer/songwriter with a voice that can melt polar ice caps.” ~Cafe du Nord Website

“You’re kind of like a hip Carly Simon!” David, Kathode Ray Music
